Bruges is often listed as the most beautiful city in Europe. Beyond that, as we always say, there is no beauty meter, and there are many that can boast this title, it is undoubtedly beautiful and charming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We found it in Belgium, just 90 kilometers from <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/en\/what-to-see-in-brussels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bruselas<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, and it is a city that seems taken from a storybook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Taken as a day trip for many, Bruges has so much to offer that I highly recommend staying overnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-8.jpg\" alt=\"what to see in Bruges\" class=\"wp-image-5394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-8.jpg 800w, https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-8-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-8-272x182.jpg 272w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These places, which are very busy during the day, awaken a special magic at night when all the hustle and bustle has gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its main charm lies in the number of canals that cross it and the buildings surrounding them, making the journey wonderful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a city where the best plan is to have no plans. Built in the Middle Ages, it was declared a World Heritage Site. The behinhofs were communities of women who lived a life as nuns without being religious.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On our visit to <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/en\/top-10-things-to-see-and-do-in-amsterdam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amsterdam<\/a><\/em><\/strong> we showed you one, have you seen the article?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-11.jpg\" alt=\"what to see in Bruges\" class=\"wp-image-5403\" srcset=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-11.jpg 800w, https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-11-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-11-272x182.jpg 272w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boat ride<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This city, Bruges, whose name actually means bridges, is called the Venice of the North, and its canals are what make it, in part, so attractive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, a trip that I recommend taking, if you only have one option to choose due to lack of time, is the boat trip along its canals. This tourist initiative began in 2006, and together with a historical committee they developed this attraction that is a historical reconstruction in the form of medieval scenes, it was inaugurated in 2012. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Brujas-18.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5412\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plaza Burg<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Burg Square with its beautiful facades, the town hall and the Basilica of the Holy Blood are just a few steps away from the Grote Markt.
