A tour that we love to do, a display of beauty before our eyes, as well as flavors in the good restaurants that we find there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just 90 kilometres from the <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/en\/what-to-see-in-the-city-of-almeria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">city of Almer\u00eda<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, located in the Levante Almeriense region, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Moj\u00e1car welcomed us with all its charm and captivated us, just as the entire province of Almer\u00eda did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moj\u00e1car town and Moj\u00e1car beach are the two very distinct areas that we found. We chose to stay in the town and go out to explore the little streets that are a pleasure to get lost in, and then explore the 17 kilometres of beach that it has.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mojacar-jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mojacar-jpg.jpg 800w, https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mojacar-jpg-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"como-llegar\">How to get there?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have decided to do it by car, we tell you that you are approximately 550 kilometers from <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/en\/what-to-see-in-madrid-in-two-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Madrid<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, 740 km from <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/en\/what-to-see-in-barcelona-in-3-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Barcelona<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, 300 from Malaga and 90 km from the city of <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/en\/what-to-see-in-the-city-of-almeria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Almeria<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have decided to do it by train, you can go to the Almer\u00eda station and then take the bus to Moj\u00e1car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The nearest airport is also in Almer\u00eda, 80 kilometres from Moj\u00e1car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25ba<strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/ad.admitad.com\/g\/700u4nenlt752f695f5d84951289db\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Search for options by train or plane <\/a><\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We were in <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/en\/what-to-see-in-barcelona-in-3-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Barcelona<\/a><\/em><\/strong> , and we flew to Malaga, there we rented a car that would accompany us on this tour of southern <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/ingresar-a-espana-como-turistas-consejos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spain<\/a><\/em><\/strong> that we would start in Moj\u00e1car.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\"><iframe class=\"civitatis-iframe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.civitatis.com\/widget-activities\/?affiliated=10563&amp;display=compact&amp;cant=3&amp;lang=es&amp;currency=EUR&amp;zone=193&amp;activities=10543,90083,66823&amp;transfer=0&amp;width=100%&amp;hideButton=0&amp;centerContent=1&amp;typeSelection=manual&amp;color=5f9ea0&amp;typography=Montserrat&amp;removeBackground=1&amp;showShadow=1&amp;roundedButtons=1\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" data-maxwidth=\"100%\" style=\"max-width: 100%\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"donde-alojarse\">Where to stay?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can stay in Moj\u00e1car town or on the beaches. We chose to do it in the village and enjoy the charm of its streets and the tranquility that we find in the month of October. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our choice was <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/es\/hostal-el-olivar.en.html?aid=2008743&amp;no_rooms=1&amp;group_adults=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hostal El Olivar<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, we chose it as we always do by looking on the booking pages, and it was a success. I am convinced that a destination that captivates us is not only made up of beautiful places, but also of good flavours, sensations, and the warmth of its people. We took a short tour as it was October. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"el-indalo\">The Indalo<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The figure of the Indalo represents a man holding a kind of bow over his head.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"717\" src=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/INDALOjpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7578\" style=\"width:200px;height:179px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/INDALOjpg.jpg 800w, https:\/\/europaacompanada.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/INDALOjpg-768x688.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This characteristic rock symbol of Almer\u00eda has its origin in the caves and shelters found in the Sierra Mar\u00eda-Los V\u00e9lez Natural Park. This Neolithic cave painting is found inside the Cueva de Los Letreros and is the oldest symbol in Andalusia. Since 1998 it has been protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For centuries it has been considered a symbol of good luck, and the inhabitants of Moj\u00e1car painted it on their houses to protect them from storms and the evil eye, becoming known as the &#8220;mojaquero doll&#8221;. Today it is already the symbol of all the people of Almer\u00eda, its use is widespread as a talisman of good luck and protection of the home. Without a doubt, yes, and it is also included among the most beautiful towns in Spain.
