How to visit Disneyland Paris

Share:

Disneyland Paris. Travel companions, many of you who will visit Paris with children, or not, are thinking of taking a trip to Disneyland Paris.

Where is it, how many parks are there and how many days should I spend there?

The amusement complex is 32 kilometres from Paris. There are two parks: Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. You can visit both separately or on the same day.

You have a leisure and shopping area, Disney Village, where you will find shops and restaurants.

The number of days you can spend will vary depending on what you plan to do. If you are going to visit both, it would be advisable to spend at least one day each.

Despite what I told you, we visited both parks in one day, but you will have to sacrifice visiting several of the attractions because depending on the season there may be a long queue.

When to visit

And the question arises by itself. What would be the best time not to find so many people?
The first thing is to try to avoid weekends, or holidays and holidays.
From January to May you will find fewer people, as summer is approaching it will be more crowded. And from mid-September to the end of November.

But sometimes they are the dates we have, then we will see how to organize ourselves if we go at times when it is very crowded.

We talk about avoiding crowds, but if it’s for good spring weather it’s a good idea.

Now we have decided how much to dedicate, let’s move on to

How to go?

If you are going on your own from Paris, the best and most comfortable option is the RER A.
In our case, the Charles de Gaulle Etoile station was the closest and the RER A stops there. The destination is indicated with Mickey’s face so you can follow it and not get lost. You will get off at Marne la Valle’ Chessy.

You will need a ticket to this station or a pass that includes zone 5. Remember that the common one for zone 1 is not valid, and the inspectors come up very often to check, so avoid the fine. The journey takes about 40 minutes. You will get off as we said at Marne la Vallé Chessy, and when you leave the station you will be practically in the parks.

If you arrive at Orly or Charles de Gaulle airport and want to go directly to the park, there is a bus that makes the journey in one hour.

Bus from the airports to Disneyland Paris

You also have the option of staying in the parks so you can be there and experience the magic.
Or, what I also think is a good option, is to get the ticket with transportation included from Paris. You will leave from the Eiffel Tower or the Opera in the morning and at the end of the day the bus will return to the same direction.

Although it is perhaps not the best option you can go by car, it can be comfortable if you are with children. Parking costs €30. If you are going to rent a car I leave you a search engine where we do it. Rent your car
Now we know how many days to go, how to get there, we need to buy tickets.

Tickets & Passes

If you are going to stay at Disney you have packages that already include the tickets. This, as well as more information about tickets and passes can be found on the official website of Disneyland Paris

The other option is to buy tickets for 1 to 4 days for one park.
Or 1 to 4 days for two parks, in which case you can switch parks during the day.

Organize the visit

In all Disney parks, like those anywhere else in the world, it is very important to organize your stay to optimize your time and enjoy your favorite attractions.

Disneyland Paris has an app where you can find the attractions, their schedules, the waiting time that day and the possibility of getting Disney Premier Access.

This fast pass can be very useful for those who visit the park on very busy days. Admission has a cost, starting at €5 and varying depending on the attraction. You reserve it from the app on the same day inside the park.

You also have Ultimate Access which allows you to access the fast-track queue once at each attraction that has that option. The cost starts at €90.

Disneyland Paris offers wifi that you will need at all times to know what to expect at the games, etc. We do not use it because as you know we use internet with Holafly eSIMs that give us unlimited internet in Europe for the number of days we choose. If you are interested in using it during your trip to Europe or another part of the world, we leave you a discount coupon EUROPAACOMPAÑADA5

Ideally, check the list of attractions, see which ones are your priority and which ones are always crowded, and do them early, as soon as the park opens. Then, if you see that there are attractions left to see, you can use the premier access.

And if you don’t mind entering the attraction separately from your family, you have the single rider option. This queue is made up of one person at a time and they add you to the game when there is only one spot left, so the queue moves much faster.

Which park to do first if you’re just going for one day and want to see both?

It will depend on your priorities in terms of attractions, but Disneyland may take you longer so it would be ideal to choose that first, although you also have to take into account that Walt Disney Studios closes earlier.

You have places to eat inside the park as well.

Make a list of attractions in each park and set your priorities in tastes.

Among other attractions we will find

At Disneyland: Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan, Star Tours, Star Wars mountain,

At Walt Disney Studios: Avengers, Cars Road, Ratoutille, Spiderman, Tower of Terror.

Keep in mind that you will also have shows. You will find all this information in the application of the amusement complex.

Save some time for shopping if you want to take some souvenirs with you. Prices are somewhat high as always inside Disney parks.
