Dinner Bus in Paris Bustronome

Restaurant bus in Paris. There are many special dinners we can have in Paris, but there is one we may not have thought of; in fact, I bet many people don’t even know this option exists: dining aboard a bus while touring Paris.

Fellow travelers, I invite you to climb aboard Bustronome and be our guest diners during this three-hour tour.

Arrival and schedule for the Paris restaurant bus

The dinner bus or buses depart from the Arc de Triomphe at 7:30 p.m. The voucher you receive after booking states that you need to be at the meeting point 15 minutes early.

Our hotel was just two blocks away, so we walked there, but the closest metro and RER station is Charles de Gaulle–Étoile.

We chose the dinner, but they also offer lunch, which starts at 12:00 p.m. and lasts two hours.

Once on board, all that is left is to wait for everyone to arrive before departure.

Tables on the Paris bus

There is only one ticket option, so your table will already be assigned when you board. The lower deck of the bus houses the kitchen and the cloakroom, and all the tables are on the upper deck.

Start of the evening and menu

It was still daylight when we set off, but the sun soon began to go down, and the golden hour looked enchanting from up top.

The menu is a six-course meal. Drinks are not included, so we added a bottle of wine and a glass of champagne.

The menu is fixed. If you read our post about Dinner at the Eiffel Tower, you will have seen that in that case you had options to choose from.

We had chosen this dinner to wrap up a trip we had taken with my parents through Belgium and the Netherlands, ending in the City of Light.

The route passes by the most iconic sights in the city, night starts to fall along the way, and I often caught myself thinking that the relaxed pace of the dinner and the great service made it the perfect finishing touch.

At one point, when we were already on dessert, the bus stopped so we could watch the Eiffel Tower with its sparkling lights.

The tour ends back at the Arc de Triomphe at 10:30 p.m.

Our review of the Paris restaurant bus

We had already read many positive reviews of the experience, but we went in with some reservations. The truth is, we loved it. Is it touristy? Yes, of course, but that didn’t take away any of its charm.

We chose it to end our trip, although we think it could be lovely to do it at the beginning, since it shows you around the French capital and makes a great introduction to the city.

I am talking about the dinner. As we mentioned, there is also a lunch option, although I think that on a hot day the sun might be a bit bothersome, but I haven’t done it, so I’m just thinking out loud.

What stays with me is what a group of girls dining next to us said when we took a photo of them together as the tour was coming to an end…. the night was perfect
