Shopping in Madrid is a plan that we know many people want to do. We will talk about two outlets in Madrid, Las Rozas Village and Style Outlet las Rozas.
Las Rozas Village
The outlet is far from the center but you can go on public transport.
By commuter train lines C8A, C8B or C10 to El Pinar de Las Rozas, it takes approximately 25 minutes.
When you arrive at El Pinar de Las Rozas, Las Rozas Village is about 3 km away so it will be convenient to take a taxi or an Uber.
By bus from the Moncloa interchange, bus lines 625, 628 and 629 will drop you off in front of Las Rozas Village in about 30 minutes.
We went by car because we were already on a trip, if you go by car they have ample parking for free.
For those who know the Orlando outlets, this one is very similar, like a small town with little houses of each of the well-known brands.
They have brands like Columbia, Nord Face, or New Balance for jackets and sportswear.
Just like American outlets, apart from the discount on each item, they often have discounts for quantities and also if you sign up to the outlet’s app on certain dates you get an extra discount, which at that time was 20%, I don’t know if it will always be the same, but it is interesting.
Go early if it’s the weekend, we went on a Saturday and it was packed with people!
I’ll show you some prices, but this varies a lot depending on the season. If it’s the end of the season, you’ll be able to get good prices. We’re talking about clothes from more casual or sports clothing brands, but for those who like them, they also have the most exclusive brands like Armani, Gucci, Prada. The list of brands is on the official website. ►Las Rozas Village

Las Rozas Style Outlet
We are now going very close to here to another outlet in Madrid, Las Rozas Style outlets, where we find sports shoes in houses such as Nike, Adidas, Converse, Puma or Skechers.
This is already more similar to all closed shopping centers. The way to get there is the same as for the previous outlet since they are very close to each other, in the same area.
As for brands, there are those named and more, I leave you the website to see which ones there are.►Las Rozas Style Outlet

Tax Free
Let’s go to tax free. To obtain a tax refund, people who do not reside in the European Union can request it.
First of all, ask for it when you make the purchase. The seller will ask for your passport, so remember to have it with you when you go shopping and they will give you a receipt-type form.
Keep them and at the airport you will be able to validate each ticket in a machine for this purpose. If you get a green tick, the tax (up to 14%) will be refunded to your credit card or you can collect it in cash at an airport counter.
Remember that you have to do this before checking in your bags in case you are asked to show your purchases.

I clarify that we did the whole process at the Madrid airport, something may change in other countries.
If a cross appears, you must present these receipts and the purchase at a customs counter inside the airport. There, you will be given an envelope in which you will place the receipts and fill out a form. You will put all of this in a mailbox and, in a few days, the tax will be refunded to your credit card.
In our case, we had purchases made in Spain that were immediately validated and credited to the card, and also others in cash. But we had receipts for purchases made in Portugal, because I didn’t clarify but you have to present everything when you leave the European Union, and those receipts had to go through the customs process and be left in the mailbox, and after about a month the tax amount was credited to our credit card, so we didn’t have any problems.
You can request the Tax Free voucher at any participating store. It is for purchases of objects, not services, so restaurants and hotels are not included. And depending on the country, there is a minimum purchase amount for the refund.
