Like most medieval towns, the best plan is to have no plans and let yourself go. This city has two distinct and beautiful parts, the medieval streets on one side, and the port on the other, and is not to be missed,

Although we visited it only for the day, it is a city that deserves to be enjoyed more by staying one night.

Place Les Cordeliers

Les Cordelliers square is a good place to stop on this walk. What caught our attention were the half-timbered houses.

Wood was an abundant and affordable material, so this construction technique was widely used during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, and continued to be used until the eighteenth century.

There are still more than 160 half-timbered houses in Dinan.
