Unlimited Internet on your trip, don’t tell me that doesn’t sound great? As those of you who follow us already know, and if not, I’ll tell you, we live in Uruguay, we love to travel, but we like to have everything organized.
And one of the issues we have resolved on our latest trips is being able to travel connected to the Internet all the time.
What happened before?… at first we were hoping to have Wi-Fi in the places we visited, which was a hassle, in most places they ask for a lot of data to access the network and it is not that safe.
We considered getting a SIM card upon arrival at our destination, but if there is one thing we do not want, it is to waste time when we arrive, and we would also be without a connection until we managed to get the SIM card, so we ruled that out.
Then we tried to use our phone company’s roaming service. What happened to me? Connecting to maps, uploading photos and stories, searching for information about places meant that I ran out of data shortly after starting the trip, and then, how do they know, continuing to hire roaming is quite expensive.
But as you may have seen since our last trips we are calm and much more connected, we are using Holafly’s eSims for unlimited use in Europe.

What is an eSim?
The eSim is a virtual SIM that is activated on our mobile phone without having to take out our physical card, which is why they are easy and convenient to use.
Purchase process

Disadvantages
It has a disadvantage, and that is that it is not compatible with all mobile phones. Before the purchase check that your phone is compatible, on the same website you will find the list of compatible mobile phones, there are many, look in the list if yours is.

How and when do I activate it?
It is advisable to purchase it in advance so that you can have the activation ready to use as soon as you land, and because during the process you will need to have a Wi-Fi connection.
So we will open the email that we received with the activation QR code on the PC, and we will follow the instructions.
It is recommended that you install your eSIM the day before or on the day of your trip, not before. Why? Because if you activate the eSIM ahead of time, you would lose days of use.
►If your mobile phone is an Iphone:
- Go to settings on your device
- Tap Mobile Data
- Tap add Mobile Plan
- Tap Next to the question “No SIM card?
- Now you can scan your QR code
►Select install with QR
As we said, you must have the QR code on another screen or device to scan it with your cell phone.
Make sure you have a stable internet connection during this process.
The QR code should be scanned from settings and not with the camera.
Please note that the QR code can be scanned only once.
Do not remove the eSIM from your device as you will not be able to use it again.
►Scan the QR code, the installation process will automatically begin

►On your Iphone open settings and selectCellular Network .
There you will see your usual network and another with the name Holafly
Select Holafly and swipe until you find Data Roaming and activate it
Ready, it’s activated, you already have an internet connection!
►If your phone is Android system
Open Settings on Your Device
Tap onconnections and enter the SIM manager , then tap on Add eSIM.
You will then scan the QR code to begin the installation.

Open settings, then sim manager.
You will search for the Holafly eSim and activate mobile data for it.
Remember to activate the data when you arrive at your destination, now you can enjoy your trip fully connected with unlimited internet in Europe!
